Forgotten Friday 28

Well this week I'm not sure if I should apologise to Sue for pinching her idea or thank her for reminding me about this stamp from a set which I must have had for at least three years - possibly longer.. The unmounted floral stamp sheet is an Elusive Images (now Chocolate Baroque) set  UA4SP0151 and it has a lovely selection of floral images, some of which I use frequently but for some reason this one, and I must say one other, have never been used until now.  However I decided to use it for Judith's Forgotten Friday challenge this week - thanks for the reminder Sue.  Image was coloured with Derwent Coloursoft pencils;  background paper is from a neglected pad of papers by K and Co;  I added a computer greeting and a die cut butterfly.  Thanks Judith for encouraging us to dig out our neglected crafty items each week.

Bah Humbug Challenge 32

The good people over at Humbug Hall are asking for kisses this week so I've come up with a lovely bunch of mistletoe to meet the challenge. Background papers are from the ever faithful Seasons Greetings CD (Chocolate Baroque) and the stamp is also from their Christmas Reflections set.  Image was coloured using Derwent Coloursoft pencils and cut out using a Nestabilities die; the sentiment was produced on the computer  using Word and cut using  Stampin Up punches.

Make My Monday challenge 10

The theme this month on Make My Monday blog is 'things with wings' and this time it is birds or bugs so I decided to go with the bird idea.  The birdcage, bird and sentiment are stamps from a set by Papermania, background was printed from Artylicious Fantasy Floral (now Chocolate Baroque) and overstamped with a CB stamp from Butterfly Flourish Swirls, the border strip was cut using a Crealies border die.  I've just added a few Prima flowers with centres punched from the background paper and some gems to match the bird which was coloured with Coloursoft pencils.

Covering Two Challenges

It is rarely I have my act together enough to cover more than one challenge at a time but I've managed it this week with the St Luke's charity which is a seaside theme and the CD Sunday challenge where they are asking for buttons to be included (there is also a prize up for grabs here so trying my luck).  I chose the image and background paper from Joanna Sheen's Cardmakers Year CD which I've not looked at for a while but as I had no suitable stamps for the seaside theme I thought maybe there would be something on there amongst the summer months and I was right - several to choose from in fact.  I used a mask to emboss the stitchy grid, added some ribbon, flowers with button centres and a sentiment produced on the computer.

Fantastic Florals

I was clearing my work space yet again) and came across this stamped image (from Fantastic Florals by Chocolate Baroque)  which I'd coloured using Polychromos pencils so decided to make it into a card rather than store it away. Background paper is an odd piece from my bit box and I also used some whitewash core-d-nations card embossed with a leafy design (cuttlebug folder) and sanded to reveal the coloured core.  A ribbon to cover the join, a sentiment produced on the computer and that's it really,

Imagination

The background (although it's too beautiful to be called just that) is a download designed by the talented Lesley of the Chocolate Baroque Guild and I added a quotation from a Tim Holtz stamp set.  The flower was made using the matching design paper from which I also die cut some leaves and buttons. I just love the colour combination here.
